The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg today issued a notice of default to the operators of the Osprey Ridge Golf Course. If the golf course cannot meet its financial obligations within 60 days, the Municipality will assume title to the property.

“The Osprey Ridge Golf Course has been an important community asset for the past 12 years and has made significant contributions to our community and our economy. Unfortunately, it is now in default of its financial obligations to the Municipality, and we must take action,” said Mayor Don Downe. “We need to address the situation immediately and ensure the best possible outcome for the community, the employees, and the members.”

During a Special Council Meeting on May 25, 2011, Council approved the 2011-2012 Municipal Budget.  The 2011-2012 Tax Rates and Area Rates were also approved.
