Regional Governance & Shared Services

The Council's of the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg, Town of Bridgewater, and Town of Mahone Bay will be holding public meetings for residents regarding the Regional Governance and Shared Services Review report that has been completed by Marathon Human Resources Consulting Group.  Please be advised that the public meeting in Petite Riviere scheduled for Jan 30, 2012 was cancelled and has been rescheduled.  For more information please, click here.

The public is encouraged to review the report and attend a public meeting.  The Municipality is looking for your feedback on the report, which can be sent to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or you can write down your comments and drop them off in the comment box at 210 Aberdeen Road, Bridgewater.  The deadline to send in your comments is Wednesday, February 15, 2012.

 The MUNICIPALITY OF THE DISTRICT OF LUNENBURG has made an application to the NS Utility and Review Board under section 368 of the Municipal Government Act to amend the boundarier of the polling districts. A Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at 2:00p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers.

Take the Roof Off Winter Activities

“Take the Roof Off Winter” Saturday afternoons at the MARC!

1:00 – 4:00 p.m., February 4, 11, 18 & 25

You can skate, ski, snowshoe, hike, play in the snow or slide. A warm-up room and hot chocolate are provided. A bonfire will be lit later in the afternoon for you to enjoy. Skis and snowshoes are available for your use, free of charge, during this time!
