The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg is the third largest rural municipality in Nova Scotia in terms of total property assessment and encompasses a geographic area representing over 432,000 acres.
The District is home to a growing population of over 26,000 and is considered one of the "hot spots" for development and growth in Nova Scotia.

Atlantic Climate Adaptation Solutions Project will include studying the coastal areas in Lunenburg District.
The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg looks forward to seeing the results of a partnership with both the provincial and federal government on a project that examines the risks associated with climate change to coastal communities.
