he Municipality of the District of Lunenburg (MODL) is proposing the construction of two 30 metre telecommunication towers to improve access to reliable, high-speed internet. The towers will be built at 56 Joudrey Lane and on municipal land on Highway 10 in Cookville (across from the intersection of Ch Petite Evangeline).

The project is designed to provide wireless internet service to homes and businesses in Sweetland and surrounding areas. MODL’s partner, NCS networks will be operating the uncapped service, and will be offering download speeds of 15Mbps to customers.

The public is invited to attend an information session to learn more about the project, and to provide comment on the proposed towers. The meeting will be held from 5:30pm to 7pm on Thursday April 27th in MODL Council Chambers, 210 Aberdeen Rd. in Bridgewater.
