Miller Point Peace Park is an ideal place for a leisurely scenic walk or family picnic. You can enjoy views of the LaHave River and Horseshoe Cove along the trails as you walk through the towering pines. In the spring, view hundreds of lady slippers and other flora and fauna along the 5 km of walking trails. In the fall, the changing colors are absolutely beautiful. This park has a long history indicated by the remains of stone foundations throughout the site. The trails are all level, smooth, and accessible to walkers, strollers, and wheelchairs. Outdoor washrooms are also available as well as ample parking at the park entrance. The inner parking area is open early Spring to Late Fall.

The park is open daily from 8 am to dusk from early Spring till late Fall.

The Municipality will accept donations for park improvements.

Leash your pet. Hunting and trapping are prohibited in all Municipal Parks and Green Spaces.  No camping permitted.

Bicycles are permitted at Miller Point, but please be cautious and courteous to all park users.

 

The Miller Point Peace Park Advisory Committee is composed of six residents, plus the local Councillor for the area.

The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg is seeking volunteers to serve on the Miller Point Peace Park Advisory Committee.  Applicants must have a community interest in park.  Terms of appointment are for three years.
