On April 17, 2013, the Lunenburg Regional Community Recycling Centre along with Region 6 Solid Waste Management held the annual Earth Day Litter Challenge within the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg and the Towns of Mahone Bay and Bridgewater. Over 2000 participants registered in those areas! Groups which were unable to participate on April 17 also organized efforts within their communities during the remainder of Earth Week.
The LRCRC and Region 6 Solid Waste Management would like to thank GE's All Trucking and Lighthouse Publishing for their continued support.
