We recognize that if you are a seasonal resident in the Municipality of Lunenburg that our recycling system may be different than where you are from.

If you are having trouble figuring out what goes where, please download our green recycling guide, or give us a call at 543-2991--we can help you set up a recycling program and tell you when to put your waste curbside for pick-up.

If you are concerned that you won't be around to put out your waste out for curbside collection, please do not put it out days beforehand. Waste left roadside can be torn open by animals and also creates a driving hazard. Additionally, it creates a real mess that your neighbours may have to clean up. Instead, take advantage of the two-bag free program at the Recycling Centre. You can drop-off all your compost, recyclables, and paper, plus two bags of garbage for free during regular summer hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
