Spring has arrived: the warm temperatures are melting the snow, birds are singing, and the crocuses are popping up amongst the coffee cups.

As the snow melts, it reveals an entire winter season of litter hidden by snow. If you know an area in your community where there is a lot of litter, consider participating in the Earth Day Clean-Up.

On April 20, 2011, gather you friends, family or coworkers to clean-up a street, park or beach of your choice. We'll provide the bags and gloves, and your name will go into a draw to win some great prizes. Just call us at the Recycling Centre (543-2991) to register.
