BRIDGEWATER, NOVA SCOTIA - As part of the efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg has closed all municipal parks and municipal trails within our parks.

Provincial Rail Trails remain open. The Arthur Young Trail is a municipal trail but remains open as it is not within a park.

“I strongly encourage people to practice physical distancing, by keeping at least six feet away from people they do not reside with,” said Mayor Carolyn Bolivar-Getson. “Meeting friends to walk closely together is discouraged, please walk only with people you reside with. We all need to work together to flatten the curve, and keep everyone safe.”
