Open House at Adult Learning Opportunities (ALO) (Fri. 17 Oct, 2025 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm)
We’re excited to announce that we’re hosting an Open House at Adult Learning Opportunities (ALO) on October 17th from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. The event will be held at our ALO space located at 215 Dominion Street, right next door to the NS Works office in Bridgewater.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to learn about our programs, meet our instructors, and explore our learning space. We’ll also be offering snacks and drinks, and it’s a great opportunity for people to ask questions and learn more about what we do.

Horror on the Block Fundraiser (Fri. 17 Oct, 2025 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm)
Fright Night III is a fundraising event for the Blockhouse Fire Department. Come walk through our haunted house...if you dare! We have 2 mazes this year. Friday and Saturday for the big goblins and a Kid Friendly Day on Sunday for the little goblins.

Land Conservation Strategy Community Mapping Session (Tue. 28 Oct, 2025 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm)
We're creating a Land Conservation Strategy to help protect natural areas and we want your input! Your feedback will help guide conservation efforts in our community. The first of three Community Mapping Sessions will take place on Tuesday, October 28 at 6pm at the New Germany Legion. Visit engage.modl.ca/conservation to learn more.
Light refreshments will be provided. Families are welcome to attend, and there will be a kids' activity corner for younger participants.
