Don’t let winter keep you indoors, the Municipality still has some wonderful winter recreational opportunities for all to enjoy the season!

What can I do, and where can I do it?

You can hike/snowshoe, cross-country ski, and fat-bike the trails at many of our parks. In the right conditions, you can even go sledding and skating at the MARC (please check our Facebook page to see if the hills/pond are open or closed).

Important to note: None of the walking, skiing, biking trails are groomed.

If you’re looking to four-wheel or snowmobile, then our Rails-To-Trails network is the place to go!

Snowshoes, cross-country ski equipment, and sleds are available to borrow from the Municipality…head to our Equipment Loan page for more details.

Community Playboxes have been installed at the MARC and River Ridge Common.  These are filled with a collection of seasonal equipment for you to use, enjoy and return for other people to use.
