The Community Recycling Centre's composting facility has recently made some upgrades to better serve the community. Some of the upgrades and tests conducted include:

Facility Upgrades 

Our new building now has fans that direct more oxygen into the organic material, breaking the material down faster. A new high-powered fan directs exhaust air to the surrounding area through a bio-filter, minimizing odour.

The unprocessed organic material that has been stored outside during necessary upgrades has been moved inside. This has helped to minimize odour.

Air Quality Testing

An independent air quality testing company has given our area a clean bill of health! In response to resident queries, air quality was sampled in the area srrounding the facility, particularly in residential areas, and no health concerns were noted.
