Illegal Dumping

Have you experienced illegal dumping on your property? Residents of the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg and the Towns of Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and Bridgewater can take advantage of the Illegal Dumping Tipping Fee Waiver program. It allows residents who've cleaned up illegally dumped waste from their property to dispose of it free charge. Property identification information must be provided. For more information, call 543-2991.

Residents within Lunenburg County may report illegal dumping and burning to the Nova Scotia Department of Environment at 543-4685 for investigation.

A recent article was published in the Progress Bulletin concerning illegal dumping. The article focuses on a particular dumpsite within the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg and provides information from the Nova Scotia Department of Environment's District Manager about reporting illegal dumping.
