Energy Navigator services are available to residents of the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg and the Town of Bridgewater.

Home energy programs
Several programs can help Nova Scotia homeowners improve their home's energy efficiency and comfort.
The programs and supports available to you may depend on your household income, home ownership status, the type of home you live in, and the upgrades you are considering. Your Energy Navigator can help you understand your options and identify the programs that best fit your needs.
HomeWarming Program
HomeWarming is a free, income-based program that provides energy-efficient upgrades to eligible homeowners.
Eligible participants receive a home assessment to identify upgrades that may improve comfort and reduce energy use. Home Warming then arranges for approved contractors to complete eligible upgrades at no cost to the homeowner.
Eligibility is based on household income, home ownership, and other program requirements.

Home Energy Assessment
A Home Energy Assessment helps you understand how your home uses energy and identify opportunities to improve comfort and efficiency.
During the assessment, a registered Energy Advisor evaluates key areas of your home, including:
- Insulation levels
- Air leakage
- Heating and cooling systems
- Other major energy-related features
Following the assessment, you will receive:
- An EnerGuide rating
- A Renovation Upgrade Report
- Prioritized recommendations for improving your home's energy efficiency
A Home Energy Assessment is also required to access certain energy-efficiency rebates and incentives.
